The Why
Surface designer and artist. I design bold, culturally inspired patterns that connect heritage with modern living. My designs help brands bring warmth, culture, and distinctive personality to home décor and lifestyle products.
Why? I create the representation I want to see in the world

Designing for the places we live
Art has always been part of my life.
Long before I knew what surface design was, I was drawing architectural layouts, sketching fashion illustrations, and imagining the spaces I would one day call home. I’ve always been fascinated by how environments are shaped—how color, pattern, light, and objects come together to create a feeling.
But my biggest influences weren’t found in design books.
They were in my family.
I come from generations of makers. My mother and grandmother created beauty with their hands—sewing garments, decorating homes, and transforming ordinary spaces into places full of warmth and personality. Watching them taught me that design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about care, identity, and the stories we carry.
ThirtyOne Illustrations was built on the belief that art in our homes should do more than fill a wall or decorate a room. It should tell a story. It should spark conversation. It should make someone pause and say:
“Where did you get that?”
Through pattern, color, and illustration, my work bridges heritage and modern living—bringing together influences from architecture, fashion, culture, and family traditions.
Because when art reflects who we are, our homes become more than beautiful spaces.
They become places where our stories live.
